Akshay Khanna the second son of well known Bollywood
actor Vinod Khanna has inherited his father's sensitive classic looks. He
was launched by his father in the movie 'Himalayaputra' in 1997.
The film flopped at the box-office
but, his intense, brooding aura and
surprisingly sweet smile
and cute dimples won the audience's attention. He proved his acting
abilities in his second film J P Dutta's 'Border'. Akshay’s film career has been
extremely tumultuous. There was a time when his film career was on the verge of
a virtual collapse. Subash Gai's 'Taal' (1999) put this talented actor back in the reckoning.
Then came 'Dil
Chahta Hai' (2001) which won him the Film fare award for best
supporting actor. Then came movies such as Humraaz
(2002), Deewange
(2002), Hungama, LOC
Kargil (2003) etc where his performances were noted. More than
shy, Akshay Khanna is a very private person. Self-belief has
been this talented actors strongest asset.
