Amazingly talented, born and brought up in
Jharkhand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian wicket-keeper, with his impressive height, athletic body
and neck-length tresses -- not to speak of his awesome batting became a
crowd puller in no time. Indian cricketers latest pin-up boy, Dhoni began his sports
career as a football goalkeeper in school. Later he switched to cricket. In
1999 he was selected for the Ranji Trophy and the rest is history. His ODI
debut was in 2004 and test debut in 2005. Self-confidence has always been one of his good qualities and he thinks that
his hairstyle is
one of the features of his personality. In 2006, his excellence in
batting has placed him in the second position among ODI batsmen. |
