Hariharan opens Side A with the song
'Tumhe Bhool Jaoon Yeh Hota Nahin, Koi Vakth Ho, Dard Sota Nahin'.
Here, the poet Zaheer Anwar brings alive the pain and tender feelings
of a love lost. This followed by 'Kho Gayee Hai' again by Zaheer
Anwar and sung by Hariharan and Jaspinder Narula, has a nostalgic
feel about it. Zaheer Anwar is a poet to look forward to in the
future. The quality of his lyrics is sure to bring other ghazal
singers in search of his lines.
Qaisar Ul Jafri with his 'Jab Shabnam
Se Haatha Jala Loon, Phoolon Se Ghayal Ho Jaoon, Do Raston Mein
Ek Hai Rasta, Ro Loon Ya Paagal Ho Jaoon' and 'Mayoosi Ki Barf'
proves his talent as always. In spite of that it is sad that this
talented poet has not still got any recognition. The composition
of 'Mayoosi Ki Barf' is brilliant and Hariharan delivers the song
beautifully.
Side B has Jaspinder Narula again
teaming up with Hariharan for 'Raat Failegi' by Zaheer Anwar, 'Dil
Se Umdey Aaankh Se Tapke', 'Kabhi Chup Ke Se' and 'Mere Pyar Ki'
by Rani Malik which is the only ghazal not up to the mark.
Altogether it is a good album. The
composers Triveni- Bhavani has stuck to the old school of music
to which they belong and brought the best out of Hariharan.
