Ahimsa a fabulous album from the versatile music genius Padmashree
K.J.Yesudas is undoubtedly exquisite, evocative and enriching. Dr.
K.J. Yesudas has no boundaries to restrict his foray into world
music and this album can rightly be termed as universal music.
This is a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi the greatest advocate of peace
and non-violence. It is pretty difficult to narrow down to the best
songs, as each of the nine pieces are exceptional in their respective
moods. There is a semblence to Jim Reeves in the Song "Hari". "Beauty
all around" has been adapted from traditional North American poetry.
The collection is truly multilingual with English, Latin and Sanskrit.
Kudos to Dasetten, and Solarwind Music to have provided such a musical
experience.
