Marriage is perhaps one of the oldest institutions of the world. It is a lifelong relationship
between two individuals who vow to care for each
other
and share their joys and
sorrows, and promise to support and be supported, by the other. Marriages have
always been governed by customs, traditions, usages and conventions from time
immemorial. This occasion, marked by joyous celebration of the joining of man and woman in
holy matrimony, is of the bonding, the relative security of two persons, being
together as one unit, part of a family, of a community and, by logical
extension, a part of society. When a man and woman join together, life becomes
complete. |
