Pineapple Jam Recipe

Ingredients :    

Ripe pineapple

- 1 kg

Clove

- 24 no's

Cinnamon 1inch piece

- 12 no's
Sugar - 11/2 kg or

Citric Acid

- 11/2 tsp

Yellow colour

- 2 pinches
Potassium meta bisulphate - 2 pinches

Method of Preparation :

Remove the skin of the pineapple and grind the flesh. Crush clove and cinnamon into 2 or 3 pieces and add to the pineapple. 

Place this in a vessel and boil with sufficient water. When it boils, remove the clove and cinnamon pieces from it.

After that, remove the pineapple from the fire and add sugar and citric acid to it. Place it again in fire and stir continuously.

When it becomes a thick solution, remove from fire and add the colour dissolved in 1dsp of water. Allow it to cool.

When the jam becomes cool, dissolve potassium meta bisulphate in half of its quantity.

Mix it with the other half and keep in a bottle.
