Aloo Kachori

Aloo Kachori is a spicy snack stuffed with potato, popular in North India. Here we have added peas also.

Learn to make yummy Aloo Kachoris!

Ingredients:

Potatoes

-

5-6nos

Peas 

-

100gms

Coriander powder

-

1tsp 

Cumin seeds powder

-

1tsp 

Pepper powder

-

1tsp 

Lemon juice

-

1tsp

Mustard seeds

-

1tsp

Chopped coriander leaves

-

1bunch

Chopped green chillies

-

4-5nos

Chopped ginger

-

1"piece

Refined wheat flour (Maida) -

1/4kg

Sour curd -  2-3tsp 
Soda -

a pinch

Ghee -

11/2tsp

Salt - to taste

Method of Preparation: 

Wash and cook potatoes and peel off its skin. Slice into small pieces or crush slightly. Cook the peas and mix it with the potato. Keep aside. 

Heat some oil in a pan and season mustard seeds. Mix coriander powder, cumin seed powder and pepper powder with lemon juice and add it to the pan and fry. Add chopped green chilly, ginger and coriander leaves. Mix well by adding potato-peas mixture. Remove from fire.

Mix maida, salt to taste, soda, ghee and curd together. Knead it with warm water to form a soft dough. Make small balls from the dough and fill it with potato-peas mixture. Press it into round shape as a puri.

Fry the kachori in a pan with ghee. Serve hot.
