Cooking Method :

To begin with, lets add 1 cup of Grated coconut, crushed Cumin seeds and salt to fine rice powder and mix well. Pour hot salt water little by little and knead it to make smooth dough.

Make a number of small balls from the smooth dough. However, make sure the ball isn't too big.

Place a big kadai on the stove and add 2 liters of water and let it boil. Add the rice balls into the kadai and let it cook for some time. Add a little of salt and the remaining Grated coconut into the boiling water. Allow the balls to cook for around 5-6 mins.

Pour 3-4 tbsp of Coconut Oil into the recipe and our pidi is ready to serve.

Pidi can be had with chicken curry, Mutton curry or with fish curries
