Shayan Munshi, a well known model came into limelight when he played the shy teenager in Sujoy Ghosh's  surprise hit 'Jhankaar Beats' (2003) opposite Riya Sen. Son of P K Munshi, a famous Kolkata-based eye surgeon, Shayan started his career in modelling at the age of 11 and left his native land Kolkata at 18 to make it big in the world. He appeared in print and TV commercials for Levis, Samsung, Kwality Walls etc. He also appeared in a music video Nitin Bali’s 'Deewana Hua Baadal'. He has done roles in films like 'My brother Nikhil' (2005), 'Home Delivery' (2005) and has co-hosted 'Cook Na Kaho', a TV food show. Being a witness in the unpopular Jessica Lall case changed Shayan Munshi's life. Currently, Shayan has two film projects in hand, 'Amar Joshi Shaheed Ho Gaya' and 'The Bong Connection'. He is married to veejay-turned-actress Peeya Rai Choudhary. Shyaan is looking forward to a long association both with the ramp and the reel.
