The annual Nagaur fair, more popularly known as Cattle
fair is the second biggest fair in India, held during the Hindu month
of Magh (January- February). This fair that lasts for eight days is organized
by the Animal Husbandry Department and the Rajasthan Tourism Department.
Thousands of bullocks, camels and horses are traded every year in this

also wear colorful turbans and long moustaches to boost their chances
in trading.
Besides animals, items like spices, wooden items, local handicrafts,
iron-crafts, ethnic jewelry, camel leather accessories, etc. are also
traded in the fair. To entertain the visitors, various sports like tug-of-war,
bullock races, camel races and cockfights are also organized. Nagaur fair
