Indore

Indore also known as the City of Holkars( it was planned and built by Rani Ahilyabai Holker, one of the famous queen of India) is the largest city in Madhya Pradesh situated on the banks of the two rivers Sarasvati and Khan.The city derived its name from the 18th century Indreshwar temple.Indore, endowed with beautiful landscapes and salubrious climate is renowned for its architectural splendor. There are numerous monuments associated with the Holkars in the city.
