Among non-Brahmins, until the16th day, every week, a function
called ' Kilamai'on the particular day of the week on which
the person died. At this ceremony, the cloth of the dead person
is worshipped and items of food which the dead person relished are prepared
and served. At death anniversaries, there is a re-union of kith and kin.
Gifts are made to the Brahmins and food offered to holy men and poor
folk.
