Vijay, known as Ilayathalapathy Vijay, is the young Turk of Tamil Film Industry. He is residing at Chennai with his wife Sangeetha and two kids. Vijay comes from a family with a strong filmy background, his father S.A Chandrasekaran is a popular director and mother Shoba, a famous playback singer. He made his debut as a child artiste in the film 'Vetri'.  It was sheer determination and hard work that has helped Vijay carve out an enviable slot for himself, and it was director Fazil's super hit 'Kadhalukku Mariyathai' that really boosted his career. He is talented in all aspects of acting like dance, action and emoting. Even though little dark in complexion, his charming face, innocent smile and bright eyes have made his fans fall head over heels for him. He is the youngest actor to have won the MGR award from the Tamil Nadu Government and the Kalaimamani title.
