Uday has always been identified as the legendary director
/ producer Yash Chopra's son, and brother of Aditya Chopra. He began his career in films
as an assistant to his father at the tender age of 17. Uday has been a part of
hits like 'Lamhe', 'Darr', 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and then his brothers film 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le
Jayenge'. He started his acting career under his brother's direction in 'Mohabbatein'
(2000) starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and five other
debutantes other than himself. After that he has done many films including his father's in house productions like 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' (2002),
'Mujse
Dosti Karoge' (2002) and 'Charaas' (2004). He
had his first big hit in 2004 with the action thriller 'Dhoom' in which his
role as the bike racer Ali was very much appreciated. In 2005, he did 'Neal
and Nikki' in a lead role opposite Kajol's sister Tanishaa. |
