Tarun hailing from a filmy background- his father, is actor director producer B.Chakramani and his mother is actress Roja Ramani- entered the tinsel world as a child artist in Mani Ratnam's Tamil movie 'Anjali' (1990), which went on to win the National Award. Another movie 'Abhayam' in Malayalam, won him the Best Child Artiste award at the Furoshika Film Festival in Japan. After doing many films as a child artist in different languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Oriya and a seven year break, Tharun made his debut as a hero in the Telugu film 'Nuvve Kaavali' (2000). In between, he also appeared in television commercials for Spinz Talc and Fanta. He has given huge hits like 'Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu' (2002) and disasters like 'Chirujallu' (2001) in his career. A cricket buff, he also likes music, going on long drives and spending time with his friends.
