Brother of Bollywood actor Akshay Khanna and the
son of actor-politician Vinod Khanna and ex- model Geetanjali Taleyarkhan
Rahul Khanna has been in the spotlight since the age of 17. After
studying at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the School
of Visual Arts in New York, Rahul began his career as a Veejay and
hosted shows like 'Most Wanted', 'MTV Fresh' etc. With his charming
million-dollar smile, sense of fun as well as his discipline and
professionalism, he reached the zenith of popularity. He then
followed the footsteps of his father and brother and forayed into
films. He made his debut in Deepa Mehta's '1947 Earth' (1998). His
performance in the film earned him several awards, including Filmfare
for Best Debut (2000). He was also named one of the 'Best and Brightest
New Talents' at the Toronto International Film Festival (1998) by
the Toronto Star newspaper. He has also starred in the New York
production of the hit West-End play which won him acclaim. Rahul
is happy doing occasional, mostly off- beat films like Earth,
Bollywood Hollywood (2002), Spike Lee's 3 AM, Kevin Kline starrer
'The Emperor's Club' and Vikram Bhatt's blockbuster flick 'Elaan'
