Bharath the young heart-throb who has been making waves in the Tamil film industry entered the tinsel world debuting in a Blockbuster Tamil Film 'Boys' directed by S. Shankar. After 'Boys'(2003), Bharath went on to do Jayaraj'sMalayalam film '4 the People'(2004), also a smashing hit, which was dubbed successfully into Tamil and Telugu. So far Bharat has done a number of movies in Tamil, which has given him great fame and name in the Tamil Film industry. It was his character as a motor mechanic in the movie 'Kadhal'(2004) which made him a household name. His latest releases 'Pattiyal' (2004), 'February 14th'(2005) and 'Azhakai Irukirai Bayamai Irukiradhu'(2006) have received rave reviews. Bharat,  is also a dancer by profession and was with the dance group 'Swingers'.
