Beads come in different sizes and hues and can be used to make jewellery pieces as well as attractive flowers.

Materials

  • Gold, Silver and Red Wire

  • Yellow crystal beads for flower center

  • Red beads, white and red speckled chalk beads for flowers

  • Medium green beads for leaves

  • Green Tape

  • Stem Wire

Flower Centre - Flower Centre contains 5 loops (loop petal) with 6 yellow beads in each loop. This 5 loops must be done in a single wire. Golden wire is used for flower centre. Cut the wire leaving 2" of bare wire. String 1/2" green beads on the leg and twist the remaining wire. Spiral stem and set loops into a cluster. Make 7 flower centres in the same way.

Petal 1 - Shape of the petal is pointed top and bottom (Pointed Petal). The basic count of the petal is 1/2" in length . Each petal has 5 rows. This petal must be done in speckled chalk bead. Make 14 petals.

Petal 2 - Shape of the petal is pointed top and bottom. The basic count of the petal is 1/2" in length . Each petal has 7 rows and red in colour. Red colour wire is used for making this petal. Make 24 petals.

Leaves - Leaf has pointed top and bottom. The basic count of the leaf is 3/4" in length and each leaf has 7 rows. Make 14 leaves.

Arranging :

  • Hold 2 speckled petals face to face and bend back the tips. Insert a center between them and twist the hanging wires

  • Place 2 red petals together face up and 2 face down. Twist all hanging wires together. Open the 4 petals into a cross shape.

  • Set the speckled unit into the centre. Twist all hanging wires together.

  • Press the 4 petals upward with the tips bent back. Tape the hanging stems.

  • Tape all leaf stems.

  • Cut a long pieces of stem wire.

  • Tape the remaining speckled unit to the top of the stem with 1" of stem exposed.

  • Tape on 2 leaves, opposite each other, 1" below. Leaves have 1/2" of stem showing.

  • Tape down, adding 1 flower and 2 leaves opposite each other, 3/4" under one another.
