Ambasamudram, situated about 35Km west of Thirunelveli is one among the
five taluk headquarters of the district. The place is famous for a number
of tourist attractions including the Manimuthar Dam, Karaiyar dam and
Agasthiyar falls. This picturesque town located on the banks of the perennial
river Tamirabarani, in the foothills of Western Ghats provides as the
main route to reach Papanasam, Manimuthar, Courtallam and Sabarimala devotees.
It is one of the perfect and prolific towns of the district famous for
its wooden handicrafts named kadasal. Brahmadesam Village, famed for the
