Alvar Tirunagari is one among the nine famous Vaishnavaite temples situated in Kanyakumari (83km south of Thirunelveli) dedicated to Lord Adinatha, the first Jain Thirthankara. The temple has a musical instrument called Nadaswaram which is made of stone and played during the temple festival. A tree is preserved here and considered sacred as it is believed that the saint Namalvar attained enlightenment under it.
