Sojat city, known as Tamravati in ancient times is located on the left bank of the Sukri River near Pali town, about 90kms from Jodhpur. Sojat is dotted with several temples like Ramdeoji temple, Sejal Mata temple, Chamunda Mata temple, Chaturbhuj temple, Jain temples of Narlai etc. The place houses a fort named Desuri which is having a large reservoir in its premises. Dargah of Pir Mastan is a popular place for the Muslims and during the time of Urs, thousands of devotees throng here to pay there homage to the saint. 

Another attraction of Sojat is the plantation of Mehendi trees. Mehendi is a herbal plant where the leaves are squashed into a thin paste and applied on the hands and the feet of the females in various attractive designs. Kurki, the birthplace of the legendry poetess Meerabai had who devoted her whole life for worshiping Lord Krishna and spreading his message all over the world, is located near Sojat.
