Moti Dungri which means Hill of Pearls or Pearl Hill is a small hill located
in the heart of the city. An ancient temple dedicated to the God of wealth,
Lord Ganesha is placed at the foot of this hill. The idol of the lord
in sitting posture is placed in the temple and in front of it, there is
a marble statue of a mushak (rat). Mushak is considered as the vehicle
of the lord. Ganesh Chaturthi and Krishna Janmashtami are the main festivals
celebtated here. The temple is frequently visited by the devotees from
far and near to pay their homage to the lord.
With the mind blowing location and excellent beauty, this religious centre
serves as a popular tourist destination. Apart from the Ganesh temple,
the Moti dungri hill is occupied with the Moti Doongri fort and Birla
Mandir.
