Jauhari bazaar, renowned as the jewelers market, is situated on the right
side of the Hawa Mahal. The bazaar is a perfect place for purchasing traditional
Rajasthani jewelry, ethnic tie and dye sarees and textiles. Gopalji ka
Rasta and Haldion ka Rasta are the two lanes joining the main road of
this bazaar which are dotted with various shops with jewelleries both
gold and silver, precious and semi-precious stones, ornaments etc. The
market is also famous for jewellery manufacturing and one can watch the
skilled craftsmen creating beautiful bright pieces of minakari and kundan
jewellery. Rooplaxmi, Gulabchand Omprakash, Rana Saree Emporium and Jaipur
Saree Kendra are some of the textile shops in the bazaar which are famous
for selling traditional bandhni and lehariya saris, salwar kamizes, printed
cotton fabric etc . Dahi Bade of LMB or Laxmi Mishtan Bhandar, one of
the oldest sweet shop in the city is located here. Apart from these shops,
the streets are filled with merchants selling clothes, handicrafts to
leather goods , cheap quilts, skirts, bags, juttis, jackets etc.
