The Ambazari Lake, located at a distance of 6 km on the western outskirts of Nagpur is the largest and the most beautiful lake in the city. Boating facilities in rowboats and self-driven paddleboats are available to the visitors. The lake is managed and maintained by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).

A picturesque garden called Ambazari Garden is located adjacent to the lake. Established in 1958, Ambazari Garden sprawl over an area of 20 acres of land offers a variety of entertainment to children. At the entrance of the garden, there is a huge model of dinosaur and for the visitors enjoyment, the garden is occupied with giant air-filled lion and teddy bear. The amenities in Ambazari garden includes mini train, see-saws, electric rides, swinging columbus boat, slides etc. The highlight of Ambazari garden is a musical fountain that changes its momentum according to the rhythm of the music and lighting effects creating a trance-like ambience. Musical show in this fountain are held on every Saturdays and Sundays in the evening. 

The Ambazari lake and garden are open to the public throughout the year. The best time to visit here is between November and February.
