Air :
Aurangabad airport named as Chikkalthana Airport (code IXU) is situated 10 km from the city. Domestic airlines such as Indian Airlines, Kingfisher Airways and Jet Airways operates regular flights from here. Regular air services to Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Delhi are available.

Rail :
Aurangabad railway station is located on the Manmad - Secunderabad section of the Nanded division of South Central Railway zone of the Indian Railways. Though the station is not located in the main route, some trains do stop here. It is on the broad gauge railway line and is directly connected with Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad by daily trains. Some of the trains that pass through the station include Tapovan Express, Marathwada Express, Nandigram Express, Devagiri Express, Pune Express and Manmad Express. Manmad, 113km northwest of Aurangabad is the closest junction for major trains.

Road :
Aurangabad is well connected by roads with major towns and cities and the National Highway 211 from Dhule to Solapur passes through the city. Aurangabad major bus terminal, Central Bus Stand is situated 1.5 km north of the town, on Mumbai-Aurangabad-Nagpur road. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and numerous other private bus operators provide bus service from here to Pune, Nashik, Indore and Mumbai. AMT (Aurangabad Municipal Transport) intra-city buses ply throughout the city including the outskirts and connect different parts of the city and adjoining suburbs together.

Auto-rickshaws and taxis are available for local transportation. The main taxi stand is located near the bus stand.
