The famous Paithan Fair also known as Paithan Yatra is held in the shrine of 'Sant Eknath' at the Paithan village, about 56 kms. south of Aurangabad. It falls in the month of March or April on 'Nath Shastri' day and is celebrated with great enthusiasm for about 10 days. During the fair, large number of people gather at the village on the banks of the river Godavari to pay homage to the saint Eknath Maharaj.
