Ellora Ajanta Aurangabad Festival is the festival of dance and music held in the month of November for five- seven days in the magnificent Soneri Mahal (Golden Palace). Organised by Aurangabad Festival Committee under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner Aurangabad in association with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, the festival showcases a mix of classical and folk- dances, instrumental, vocals, milajula mushaira etc. Previously it was held under splendid surroundings of the Ellora Caves. A large number of eminent singers as well as dancers participate in this festival and various competitions like Rangoli, mehandi painting, cookery, essay, bhajan and sports like walk for senior citizens, traditional bullock cart race, marathon, inter-school and inter-college competitions, etc conducted. Other attraction is the stalls in Kalagram that displays the art and craft of the artisans and craftsmen from various region.
