Located 9kms south of Mangalore and half kms from the Someshwara bus stand, Someshwar beach is an ideal place for nature lovers and swimmers. This beach, known for a large rock called 'rudra shila', is a vast stretch of golden sand interspersed with palm trees and it offer a breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. To the north of the beach is the Sri Someshwara Temple, a historical temple believed to be constructed during the reign of the famous queen Abbakka Devi.
