Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi which is at a distance
of 36.7 km from the city, is the nearest airport. All major international
air carriers operate direct services to Delhi from various centres in
the world. Faridabad city is well connected to the IG Airport by various
roads and rail transport services.
Rail :
Faridabad is on broad gauge of New Delhi- Mumbai Line has excellent
railwayconnectivity with trains from various parts of India. There are
three railway stations in the city viz. Faridabad (FDB),
New Town Faridabad (FDN) and Ballabgarh (BVH). Faridabad Railway Station
(FDB) with amenities like waiting room, computerized booking office, tea
stall, refreshment room, telephone booth and G.R.P office is located 10
kms from Badarpur border. For local commuters, there are several electric
multiple unit (EMU) train services to New Delhi, Mathura, Agra and Ghaziabad
which ply at frequent intervals.
Bus :
National Highway 2 passes through Faridabad and it is well connected
to the nearby cities like Delhi, Agra, Mathura and other parts of North
India. The bus terminal located in Faridabad town operates local services
within the district and inter district services to all the major districts
of the state. For local transport, metered auto rickshaws, taxis and tongas
are available.
