Janmashtami is the most important Hindu festival celebrating the birthday
of Lord Krishna. This festival is followed by Hartalika Teej, Ganesh Chaturthi,
Anant Chaturdashi, and Pitra Visarjan Amavasya devoted to making
of oblations to the pitras (dead ancestors) and is called Pitra Paksha.
