Preparation :
Wash & clean big gram and rice separately. Cook big gram in a pressure cooker with water level just above the big gram.
After 3 whistles switch off the stove. Open the cooker after the pressure is fully released. Then add 1½ cup raw rice and salt. Again close the cooker and cook for 3 whistles
Take a pan and put 1½cup jaggery then some water to dilute it
Mix it well. Heat the pan on a low flame, the jaggery will foam up & after some time change to a thick liquid form.
Then add the cooked big gram and rice to the pan
Mix it well.
Then add 1½ cup grated coconut followed by 1½ cup coconut milk and again mix well.
Cook for 5 mins and transfer the porridge to a serving bowl.
Serve hot
