Vegetable Kati Rolls

Kati or Kathi rolls are originally made of grilled meat wrapped in chappathi or paratha.

A street food from Kolkata, it is now popular almost all over India and that too in different variants. Here's a vegetable Kati roll

Ingredients :

Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 medium
Green capsicum - 1 medium
Tomatoes chopped - 2 medium
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Tomato puree - 2-3 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste 2- tbsp
Salt - to taste
Whole wheat chapattis - 2-3
Garam masala powder - ¼ tsp
Chilli powder - ½ tsp
Coriander and mint chutney - 2 tbsp
Yogurt - ¼ cup
Whole wheat chapattis - 3-4

Preparation :

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add Slice onion, Chopped capsicum, add tomatoes saute well until it is cooked well.

Add turmeric powder, tomato puree, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook till done.

Mix mint-coriander chutney and yogurt and enough salt in a small bowl.

Spread a spoonful of yogurt-chutney evenly on chapatti. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling on one side of the chapatti. Roll the chapatti tightly.

Make other kathi rolls similarly. Cut into halves and serve immediately.
