Moong dal Laddu or green gram laddu, is a simple yet healthy sweet, apt for young kids to cook as well as to consume.

Moreover the preparation requires no fire except for roasting the dal.

Ingredients :

   
Moong dal - half cup
Sugar - half cup
Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
cardamom powder - of 3-4 cardomoms or 1/2 tsp
Almonds - 6 no
Cashews - 4 no 
Raisins - 4 no

Cooking Method :

  • Roast, dried moong dal till you get a nice aroma of the roasted moong dal. After it cools, grind to a fine powder. Take equal quantity of powdered sugar and moong dal powder.

  • Mix together moong dal, sugar and cardamom powder well in a bowl. Keep melted ghee in a bowl of hot water.

  • Add hot ghee little by little to the mixture until you are able to make balls from the mixture. Then add chopped almonds, cashews and raisins.
