Erachi pathiri OR chicken/ meat filled packets, is a traditional Ramadan recipe popular in the state of Kerala.

Ingredients :

Maida / Refined flour - 1 cup
Meat (chicken/mutton) -1/2kg
Onion - 3-4 no
Oil - For deep frying

Cooking Method :

To make Erachi Pathiri, take maida, add enough water and knead well to make dough as for porotta. Make small balls from the dough. Roll the dough thinly, and cut out small circles from it.

Cook the meat well with 1 tbsp of masala powder, onions, pepper and salt. Mash the meat.

Place some mixture made with meat and onion in the middle of each circle, fold and then lock the ends with our hands. Then deep fry the pathiri in hot oil.
