Put the pan on the stove and heat oil in it.

Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.

Now add curry leaves into it.

Next step is to put chopped onions into the pan and saute it till golden brown.

Then put the tomatoes also to the pan.

Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala powder into it.

If it is dry, pour some water into the mixture to make a thick gravy.

Now you can add the required amount of salt into the mixture.

Saute well till it forms a thick consistency.

Now turn off the pan and let it cool.
When it is cool you can serve it in a serving dish. It is a good accompaniment for Chappathi, bread etc.
