How to get there
Punjab is easily accessible by road, rail or air.

Punjab is broadly linked with other parts of the country by rail. All major and districts have excellent rail links in which Amritsar, Ferozpur, Chanidgarh, Ludiana and Jalandhar are the main hubs. From Punjab, there are both daily and overnight trains to Delhi. Lucknow, Calcutta and Varanasi also have direct train routes to Amritsar.
Road
The entire state is connected through an extensive network of medalled roads.
State Highways connect major cities to the state capital. NH 1 or the Grand
Trunk Road connects the state with most of the north as well as east India.
Other National Highways that pass through the state are NH 15, 19, 20, 21,
and 1A. One cane drive from one extreme end of the tate to the other in six
hours. Minimun running hours from Delhi is abut four hours. All towns have
direct bus services to Chandigrah, state capital. Taxi services between various
towns and Chandigarh and to New Delhi are dependable and comfortable.
