Major Ravi's directorial debut, Keerthichakra deals with the trauma of Indian soldiers in the terrorist infested state, their attachment to their buddies, their reaction to being continually exposed to danger and the effects of their long-drawn separation from their loved ones.

The highlight of the film is the amity between Mohanlal and Jeeva, the main protagonists. Both actors are good, and they make tremendous effort to add spark as a team.

Major Ravi suceeds in keeping the feel of the film authentic most of the time. On the whole, the effort that went behind making Keerthichakra is commendable.
