Prajapathy, action packed Mammootty thriller, is directed by Renjith. It tells the story of the rivalry between two families. Perumalpuram is tottally a different village, which has Devarmattom. Devarmattom Narayanan, who is the ultimate deciding authority in the village and whose word is law. Those who violate the rules are thrown out of the village.Though he commands the entire villege, he is simple and his entire life has been a fight for the goodness of people.

There is another villege, Kaaliyaar, which is very opposite to Perumalpuram. At the centre of the village is Kaaliyaarmattom with Mooppil Kunjmbu Nair, an uncle and enemy of Narayanan as the patriarch. He and his four wicked sons are out to destroy Devarmattom.The rivalry between these two families is the core of the film.

Mammootty plays role of Devarmattom Narayanan. Saikumar, Srinivasan, Siddique, Karthika, Seema, etc., appear in the supporting characters in this movie. Adithi Rao, Kannada actress, is the heroine.Cinematography is by Azhagappan. Lirics by Girish Puthancherry and music by Tejh Mervin.
