Director Vinu Anand’s film 'Heart Beats' deals with
several aspects of life in a campus.
Tamil Actress Simran and Indrajit plays the lead roles. Simran returns
through this film after a three-year break. Malayalam television anchors
- Govindan Kutty and Arun V. Narayanan - also play important roles.
Rest of the cast include Manikkuttan, Cochin Haneefa, Remya Nambeeshan, Jagathy Sreekumar and
Charuhasan.
The film is set in a Medical college campus background and is
said to be a romantic thriller. Hari (Govindankutty), Haritha (Remya
Naambeesan) and Sameera are students of Salem Medical college. The story
unfolds as Binoy Johnny Idikkulam (Indrajith) and a professor Sabhapathi
Ayyankar (Charuhasan) from Bangalore comes to visit Haritha. The next
day the students are in for a shock - Haritha tries to commit
suicide. She is admitted in the hospital in a serious condition. Her
friends enquiries leads to a police case with Police officer Humayun
Kabir taking up the case. Humayun's search for Binoy and the professor
leads to a medical college in Thiruvalla and a woman called Thankam
George (Simran). The story gets more and more intriguing as the case
progress...
Produced under the banner of Tristar films, the film's story is written by the producer Jolly
Joseph, himself. Screenplay and dialogues are by Babu Janardhanan. George Peter
gives music to Girish Puthencherry's lyrics. The shooting is in progress
in Kochi and the film is slated to be released in August.
