After a long gap, Sunderdas is back with 'Akasham' under the Creative
Team banner. The film, with the story, script and dialogues penned by T. A.
Rassaq, features Harisree Asokan in the lead. Jyothirmayi pairs opposite
him.
The film is essentially a family entertainer with a message against
certain social evils. The title 'Aakasham' denotes the sky which can even hide the
sun, change colours, keeps on moving and is unending, perhaps like the human
mind.
The story of the film revolves around the life of Manoharan,
a chief mechanic in a car service
station, who leads a quiet life. His world revolves around his mother, wife and two
daughters. Manoharan, who has set no big goals in
his life is unwittingly pulled into a
series of unfortunate incidents as the story unfolds.
Jyothirmayi, who plays Manoharan's wife-
Bhanu, is a housewife who is happy taking care of her family.
Innocent plays a divorcee who is close to
Manoharan. Rest of the cast includes
KPAC Lalitha, who plays Manoharan's mother, Mamukkoya, his friend, Anil
Murali, his colleague and Bindu Panicker, a relative, Sai Kumar etc. 'Akasham' produced
by the Creative Team was shot in Kochi. There are two songs penned by Rajeev Alumkal
and set to tune by Mohan Sithara. The still photographer is Soorya
Peter. The film will hit the screens in May.
