Talented actor Rahul Bose teams up with oomph girl Mallika Sherawat in
Saket Chaudhary's directorial debut "Pyaar Ke Side Effects".
The film revolves around Sid (Rahul Bose)- a DJ who loves playing music
and hates marriage.
But he has a very caring girlfriend Trisha (Mallika Sherawat) who supports
and understands him but things get complicated when she proposes marriage.
Sid panics because he is not ready for it. Secondly, the idea of marriage
terrifies him.
But Trisha, like any other girl, wants everything -- love, marriage,
a loving husband, home. And she threatens to leave him in case he won't
marry her. So, the only way Sid can keep Trisha in his life is by promising
marriage to her.
He begins leafing through women's magazines to look for ring designs,
taking his sister's advice and listening to his mother's nagging and
his roommate's constant red alert against marriage.
Sid gets confused after so many suggestions and decides to have a serious
discussion with Trisha on their impending marriage. With all his thoughts
jumbled in his mind, he marches over to Trisha's office to talk. But
he ends up asking her to marry him.
Now begins his nightmare as he runs from one shop to another to find
a perfect engagement ring, furniture and other things.
To top it all, he meets Trisha's father, a retired General Mallick,
who hates the very sight of him and constantly tries to dissuade him
from marrying her.
Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd, the film has good music
by Pritam.
Unlike mentor Kunal Kohli, Chaudhary hasn't roped in big names. He
is relying on Rahul's skills and Mallika's oomph for success.
