Puneet Raj Kumar's fans can hardly wait for his next film, "Bindaas",
which is expected to be released either in the last week of January
or early February. Film's director D. Rajendra Babu says Puneet plays
a "completely different" character in it.
Puneet had a good year in 2007. His first release "Arrasu"
crossed the 100-day mark and second film "Milana" will complete
its silver-jubilee run in many centres shortly. Will "Bindaas"
be yet another in a series of hits?
Babu, who has directed Puneet for the first time in the movie, has
given a string of hits in his career such as "Karulina Koogu",
"Haalunda Thavaru", "Ramachari", "Annaiah",
and "Yaare Nee Cheluve".
Chandrashekhar, the producer of the movie, too has made successful
films like "Annaiah" and "Karpoorada Gombe".
"Every penny spent on the big budget film will be visible on the
screen. Puneet's fans are certain to have full meals of high entertainment,"
said Chandrashekhar.
The produce claims that the film's audio, released recently, has become
a big hit.
Hansika Motwaani, who made her debut on big screen with Telugu film
"Desamuduru" and later featured in Hindi film "Aap Kaa
Surroor" opposite Bollywood singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya, plays
the female lead. "Bindaas" is her first Kannada film.
Suman, who got a big break in the role of a villain in superstar Rajnikant
starrer "Sivaji - The Boss", plays a baddie again in "Bindaas".
Guru Kiran has composed the film's music. "Gubbachchi Goodinalli",
rendered by Sonu Nigam, and the title song has become popular.
