Puratchi Thalapathi Vishal, in the title role, is Assistant Commissioner
Satyam. Young, energetic and straightforward, the AC projects himself
as an inspiring model for those in the force. His strong principles
and perseverance makes them function with a deep sense of honesty and
duty-conscious. Satyam faces a lot of challenges and troubles from wrongdoers
who err and by habit, try and conceal their crimes. Yet, he does not
give up and fights to save the dignity of his profession.
Nayanthara is the beautiful and brainy newsreader Deivalakshmi who works
for a local TV station. Captivated by Satyam's courage, Deivalakshmi
falls in love with him. At a certain point, their careers too converge;
smart Deiva helps Satyam out in a few ways.
Kannada actor ,director, producer Upendra is the villain. Sudha Chandran,
popular actor on television as well as in Bollywood also plays a role.
With the vibrant team, the action, comedy, romance, and glamour in addition
to a sturdy storyline in Satyam promises to be a great entertainer.
A mega-budget venture, the movie is produced by Vikram Krishna and directed
by Rajashekhar. The story happens in a metro; shooting has been carried
out in Chennai, Hyderbad, Ladakh, Rajahmundhry, Thenkasi and Kurnool.
A runway sequence was shot exclusively in Dubai.
Simultaneously made as Salute in Telugu, the movie will introduce Vishal
in Tollywood. Devoting two months, Puratchi Thalapathi Vishal has totally
transformed his physique and body language to play the role of the perfect
AC. He has performed the stunt sequences without any duplicates.
Art director Thotta tharani has erected an amazing set for one of the
song sequences. The estimated cost for the set is 1.75 crores. The award-winning
art director has also designed a mobile police station for the unit.
Craig Mumma, who has worked in Hollywood movies such as Mummy and Matrix,
has handled the graphics and award winning lensman R.D. Rajasekher is
the cameraman for Satyam. Using crash camera and Helycam, he has recorded
some stunning sequences for the film. This is the 25th film for music
director Harris Jayaraj and as always, his tunes will cater to popular
tastes.
Debutant director Rajasekar, author of the story, came up with this
plot about two years ago. He endured the wait to include Puratchi Thalapathi
Vishal's star- value and popularity. Satyam will shimmer with a super
story and a stunning budget.
