We made a small clock with a used CD, clock movements (Motors) and hands, which is readily available in the market. This simple craft will give you an idea on how easy it is to assemble a clock on any base you choose.

Materials required : -
CD Clock Materials
» Clock movements along with needles / hands 1
» CD 1
» Numerals sticker 1 sheet
» Hot Glue 1 tube

Apply hot glue on the sticker side of the CD.

Attach a clock movement (motor) without needle in the middle of the CD.

Attach a clock motor

Let the motors pin stick out from the hole in the middle of the CD. Attach the hour, minute and seconds needles to the motors pin, on the fluorescent side of the CD.

Base for the clock is ready. Stick numerals such as 12, 3, 6 and 9 on the base, at the right spots, to make the clock dial. Now insert a battery in the motor to see and make sure that the clock is working.

You could fix a woolen thread to the base of the CD to hang the clock.
