The Holbein stitch is also known by the name Double running stitch. To begin with a Holbein stitch, first do the running stitch along the guide line. Be sure that each stitch and space between stitches are of equal size. 
After completing the guideline, start filling the space by doing running stitch with another colored thread. Here we are done with our Holbein stitch. |
