Abbreviations

mg - milli gram tsp - teaspoon
gm - gram tbs - tablespoon
kg - kilogram dsp - dessertspoon
ml - milli litre C - centigrade
lt - litre F - Fahrenheit

Weights & Measures 

A one cup measure should always be filled to the level; i.e. to the brim of the cup. Dry ingredients should be spooned lightly into the cup until level. Moist ingredients like butter should be packed or pressed in tightly. 

 

Liquid Measures

1tsp - 5ml
1dsp - 2 or 21/2tsp (more than 1tsp and less than 1tbs)
1tbs - 3tsp or 1/2ounce or about 2dsp
1cup - 16tbs or 8ounce or 250ml
2 cups - 500ml or !/2 litre or 1pint
