Rohetgarh, once served as the residence of the brave Rathores, is a great place, located 40kms south of Jodhpur city. It is famous of the 16th century majestic Rohetgarh fort which was presented by Maharaja of Jodhpur to Thakur Dalpat Singh I Champawat clan Rathore, for his courage and bravery in the battle. Rohetgrah fort built in traditional Rajasthani style of architecture is situated in a picturesque setting besides a shimmering lake. The walls of the fort are decorated with royal paintings; the floors are covered with finest Persian carpets and the ceilings are decorated with illuminating chandeliers. The carved arcades, picturesque gardens, blossoming bougainvilleas and wandering peacocks fascinate the visitors to the fort.

A major part of Rohetgarh fort has been converted into a heritage hotel because of the increasing number of tourists. The remaining part still houses the ancient royal families of this place. Desert safari, sand dunes safari, horse and camel safaris, tribal tours to the adjoining villages etc. are organised by the hotel management for the recreation to the visitors.
