Established in the year 1983, NAC market in Koel Nagar consists of more than 100 types of shops for the various need of customer. Initially, the market was under the control of the erstwhile NAC ( ST) of Rourkela, but after closing NAC ( ST) in 1995, it came under the control of Rourkela Municipality. When Rourkela was declared as an Industrial Township, the control of NAC market was taken by Rourkela Steel Plant authority under Estate Department. NAC market is also occupied with a vegetable market with several small shops.
