Kerala Science and Technology Museum

Serve as a study cum recreation centre, Kerala Science and Technology Museum is one of the famous tourist destination in Thiruvananathapuram. Setup by the Government of Kerala in 1984, the museum serves as a dynamic medium for the spread of science and technology and inculcating a sense of curiosity and scientific temperament among the young generation. The museum is situated near mascot hotel.

The major attractions of Kerala Science and Technology Museum are Priyadarsini Planetarium, Science Park, a Mobile Science Exhibition Unit, Energy Park, 3D theatre etc. The museum houses galleries on electricity, electronics, power & motion, mechanics, popular science, mathematics, solar energy as well as automobile, computer and biomedical engineering. A well equipped library is another attraction of this museum. Within the museum premise there is a Play Park with thirteen playing devices which aid learning while playing. This park was opened in the year 2005.

The museum organizes quiz competitions and science and technology awareness classes on a regular basis for students. The museum also undertakes the responsibility of managing science educational programmes through TV, Radio and other media of communication.

The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Closed on Mondays
