Known as ‘Turtle beach’, Kolavipalam beach at the south of Murad River is at a distance of 4 km from Kottakal and few meters away from Payyoli beach. The famous Olive Ridley turtles can be seen frequent in the vast stretch of beach sand especially during the nesting season; i.e in September.
